The kite lesson is taught on the famous main kiting beach (Flag Beach) just outside Corralejo. The group sizes are kept to 4 students per instructor and all courses include all the gear. We have been teaching at this location for over 22 years and know the conditions and location well. After an initial theory lesson of 1 hour, we then pump the kite and start to beach fly. This lasts about 3 hours. The following day we will go out in a boat and practice the kite flying in the water. Once this stage has been completed the students will get the board to do their first rides.

Our journey continues southeast towards Costa Calma to admire the 18 kilometers of the beautiful Sotavento beach, one of Fuerteventura's most famous.

Rolling beaches, desert-like plains and towering mountain peaks – Jandia is a slice of Fuerteventura at its rawest. And on this easygoing walking tour, you'll get to see the peninsula in all of its glory. The Natural Park of Jandia, Risco del Paso and Morro Jable are all on the agenda, as well as free time for swimming. You'll start in Jandia Natural Park. This huge reserve covers most of the island's southerly tip, encompassing mountains, rocky coasts, sand dunes and undeveloped wilderness – it's a haven for nature-lovers. Then, it's on to Sotavento, where crystal-clear waters lap up against the soft, golden stretch of sand. You'll enjoy some free time here to take a dip, walk along the beach or simply admire the view. Next up is Morro Jable. Even though this small, fishing village has had some tourist development over the years, it's managed to retain its traditional Canary charm. Spend some time here grabbing Insta-worthy pics or simply chill with a coffee in one of the local cafés

The hub of the north, Corralejo is one of the most exciting spots in Fuerteventura. Whether it's shopping, socialising or sightseeing, it's a hive of activity. And if you're based in the south of the island, there's no better way to discover the town than with the Corralejo Express bus. You'll be dropped off for the day and will then be free to explore at your own pace. Pastel-coloured homes line the seafront and fishing boats dot the beaches. And just a block away, you'll find some of the best shopping in all of Fuerteventura, with plenty of handmade arts and crafts on sale. Just outside the town, you'll be able to check out the vast expanses of the Corralejo sand dunes – a natural reserve with 9km of coastline. Watch the surfers as you stroll along the beach or fishermen bring in their haul at the harbour. Or maybe tuck into the catch of the day in one of the many seafood restaurants and enjoy the views of Lobos Island and Lanzarote in the Bocayna Strait.

The volcanic landscape of Fuerteventura's mountainous interior goes far beyond its sun-soaked beaches. And there's no better way to navigate this rugged terrain is on this full-day 4x4 tour. Heading off-road onto hairpin tracks, you'll bump around the lunar-like landscapes of the Roque de Moro, one of the island's highest volcanic peaks. Here, you'll get breathtaking views over the buffeted west coast before dropping down to Cofete. This mostly abandoned village is home to the mysterious Winter Villa – rumoured to have been a Nazi hideout after World War II. There'll be a photo stop on Cofete beach, and, if the weather's right, extra beach time on the east coast, before you make your way to El Puertito. The perfect chance to look around, swim or grab a bite to eat. The final stop of the day is at Punta de Jandia, Fuerteventura's southern tip. Stand at the edge of the island where the ocean meets the sky, rounding off the tour by soaking in show-stopping views.
