Beautiful view but it’s a tourist tramp. Very higher prices comparing with other places , and the portions are super small! We have been in many restaurants and all of them were cheaper and bigger portions. The view is beautiful tho and offer go and back to Aswan but definitely I wouldn’t go back. Pretty groovy place to eat. The atmosphere is alive. The food is next level but a little pricey. The service is a little slow but it’s expected particularly when busy. As a customer you’ll get a free ride back to the mainland. Just ask. For lunch, we went to King Jamaica Restaurant, recommended by the owner. We ordered camel meat tagine, fried chicken, and chicken Negresco (which is like a pasta dish). All the dishes, along with the flatbread and rice, were delicious! However, the wait was incredibly long — we were almost going crazy. I don’t know how the Europeans at the next table managed to stay so calm. The camel meat was very flavorful and went perfectly with rice, and the texture was so tender it almost felt unusual. -3/1/25

This was probably the most unique restaurant we ate at in all of Egypt! The blue paint and murals were gorgeous! And sitting right next to the Nile with boats passing by, makes it the perfect location. The food was OK, but it took a REALLY long time for it to arrive.

Absolutely delicious food. We ordered the vegetable tagine (potatoes and peas) and the jerk chicken - both were excellent. Tasty and seasoned well but still healthy. The main dishes all come with rice, tomato/cucumber salad and some bread. Service is friendly but not overimposing. Restaurant is on the waterfront and operates its own periodic free boat to/from the mainland (1 min journey).
