This place was incredible and the highlight of our visit. I recommend booking in advance. From the moment we arrived the staff were so wonderful. It’s a great space - modern clean decor with a touch of quirky old world charm. Seating is available outside on the sidewalk but we definitely preferred the interior seating and atmosphere. The menu was amazing with so many traditional dishes to choose from. Every single dish was not only beautifully presented but tasted superb. If you’re overwhelmed then just ask the staff to recommend a few things- you can’t go wrong. Local Hungarian wines are such great value and absolutely sensational - highly recommend trying one. Dessert was a perfect sweet finish. Wow, what a place! I can’t recommend this place more highly. Absolute must try. We had such a great experience here! The Báránypaprikás and Borjúpaprikás were absolutely delicious. The meat was perfectly tender (lamb especially, veal a little bit less) and full of flavor. The food came out quickly, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. We booked our table online two days before, and everything went smoothly. Definitely recommend checking this place out! Unforgettable food, service, and heart! What an incredible experience. The food and service at Gettó Gulyás were outstanding. We went for lunch and loved it so much we came back for dinner the same night. Roland made it unforgettable with perfect wine pairings, surprise dishes, and a birthday dessert with the waitstaff singing for Larry. Every bite was perfection and the warmth unmatched. I was a party of one, and could very quickly be seated by the bar, which is fine. It was a bit tall, making it a bit weird position to eat in. Staff was nice and friendly. I got to try their duck pate with some bread for free, and then the food arrived very quickly after. The lecso was delicious and very rich. One of the best meals I had in Budapest. Perfectly paired with the bread.

Had such a lovely evening in Gettó Gulyás. The service was second to none and the food was excellent. The wine recommendation was perfect and suited each of our meals. The best meal I've had in Budapest so far (day 4). We got 3 out of the 4 available desserts and each one was better than the next. Absolutely delicious. Long island ice tea will blow your head off, too strong and smoky. But the hugo was 😘👌🏻. Class
