La Estancia is a classic Buenos Aires parrilla-style grill house — big portions, big flavors, big everything. Prices are around $40–65 CAD (40,000–65,000 ARS) per person. We ordered the Parrillada (61,000 ARS) with fries, a mixed salad, and two Cokes, and the total came to about 85,000 ARS. I’m pretty sure I lost a belt notch after dinner. If you’re really hungry, try the Gran Parrillada — it’s basically a full meat festival. Even the ribeyes at the table next to us were around 20 oz, and they couldn’t finish them. The restaurant gets lively around 18:00–19:00 (early for locals), and it’s located on a charming stone street that reminded me of Lisbon. Service was great — fast, friendly, and there were easily 20 servers on the floor, all men. Not sure where they’re hiding the women, but the guys run the place like a well-organized grill squad. The menu has English translations, though our waiter didn’t notice them, so we still used Google Translate. They also bring three great condiments: a chimichurri-style parsley mix, spicy chili oil, and pickled onions. Huge wine list with very fair prices — lots of Malbec, Torrontés, Chardonnay, and all the big Argentine labels (Rutini, Catena Zapata, Norton, Luigi Bosca, etc.). Quick safety reminder: keep your belongings close, just like in Europe. Someone tried to grab a purse while we were there, but a waiter chased him down the street and the police stopped him. The staff handled it immediately and professionally. Overall: amazing food, massive portions, good service, and a fun, old-school parrilla atmosphere. Come hungry… and maybe loosen your belt before you start. Central location, right by the Obelisque with traditional Asado and criollo dishes. It took at least 15 minutes to be seated as I was solo and no two seats table came up, but it was worth the wait. I was craving some crispy goat “chivito” but they come up with a “Cordero” lamb, which it was almost as crispy as the chivito. I accompanied it with a three vegetable salad, which was huge. A Fin Del Mundo Malbec did his trick. Nice atmosphere on a hot summer Saturday night. Spacious restaurant with a nice vibe and great food. The empanada was decent, but it's the meats that you come here for. The steak was delicious and sliced with almost no effort. Washed down with a very generously poured glass of red, this was a lovely welcome to Argentina meal. If you're staying at the Marriott this place is a 2min walk and definitely worth it.

Between pork and beef - I'd prefer the pork. Order what you can finish, many had to take away. The lemonade drink and tomato salad helped to cut through the grease. The red wine was amazing. One of the must visits when in Buenos Aires.

First and foremost, the steak was superb, very delicious. The side dishes; French fries, mashed potatoes, white rice were just ok. As far as the drinks that we ordered; the marguerita and Cappirini, I didn't like them. They used lemon instead of lime for both. The staff were very nice and the wait time to be served was great. My husband was a fan so we went there on two separate occasions.
