We came here on our first night in Buenos Aires, but I’m writing this after five nights in the city so I could fairly compare the food. We ordered a bife de chorizo (NY strip) and an ojo de bife (ribeye), both medium, one with salad and one with fries. The steaks had an excellent char that added great flavor, and the portions were generous for individual orders. That said, each cut had its issues. The ojo de bife came out well-done—no pink at all—though it stayed tender and easy to eat. The bife de chorizo was cooked to the right temperature but was surprisingly tough and chewy. The salad was fresh and crisp; the fries were a bit oily and unevenly crispy. On the plus side, the wine list was excellent—plenty of high-rated Vivino bottles at very reasonable prices—and the steaks themselves were fairly priced too. In a city packed with parrillas, I’d try somewhere else next time. Nothing was terrible, which is why I’m giving it a middle of the road 3 stars. Another great Argentinean restaurant serving amazing steak. The sausage to start along with the empanadas were amazing, and the steak cooked to perfection. Service was outstanding, made us feel right at home. Today I visited Santos Manjares, a well-known parrilla restaurant. At the entrance, it was quite busy, so there was a short wait for a table. I came with a group, but I’ll share my own experience. The waitress was kind, although it took a little while to get her attention since the place was crowded. I ordered the Bife de Chorizo (350g) with salad — one nice thing is that you can choose your side or mix up to three ingredients in your salad. I asked for the meat blue, and it was very good, though a bit tough today. The place itself was nice, and the atmosphere was pleasant. There was no music, which made it quieter and more relaxed.

The best steak I had in Buenos Aires. Phenomenal taste. Seemed relatively cheap in comparison to other steak restaurants as well. We went quite early on a Friday evening so were lucky to get a table!
