Bubba Gump Review – Laguna Location Bubba Gump is a chain restaurant, and this location doesn’t stray far from the formula. The main difference is its prime location—there’s plenty of parking, and the restaurant backs right into the Laguna, which gives it a nice scenic backdrop. It had the potential for a relaxed dining experience, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. When I arrived, I was the only customer there, and oddly enough, they still weren’t ready to open on time. You’d expect faster service with no crowd, but that wasn’t the case. I ordered shrimp, which you’d think would be their specialty. Instead, they came out overcooked and rubbery. At that point, I was starving, so I powered through it, but it wasn’t enjoyable. The outdoor seating looks inviting at first—right on the water, with a breeze and a view—but don’t expect to sip a beer slowly. The sun hits hard, and your drink will warm up quickly. Unless you’re drinking fast or don’t mind a warm beer, it’s not the most comfortable spot to sit and relax. Overall, the location has promise, but the execution misses the mark. With better food and service, it could be a go-to spot. As it stands, I wouldn’t recommend it—especially if you’re coming for the shrimp or hoping to enjoy a slow drink in the sun. This restaurant is great. The different varieties of shrimp are truly an experience. The service is fast and friendly. I can definitely recommend this place! What a trip! This place is awesome. Had an amazing experience at Bubba Gump Shrimp in Cancun! The ribs were absolutely delicious,tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. What really made the visit special was our waitress, Aime. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere—definitely worth a visit if you’re in Cancun.
