As far as hotel restaurants go this has to be one of the best. Beautiful decor, excellent service, great selection of dishes for every meal of the day and choose from a la cart and/or buffet style breakfast. This restaurant far exceeded the usual hotel style dining most hotels offer. Well decorated restaurant with good service and a lovely ambience. Not sure if the service was good because it was only a few of us in the restuarent, or that is their standard. The food was a let down. The meal we had here was the most expensive meal during our stay in Cape town but also the least when it came to taste and flavours. I ordered the Malay curry, it lacked that curry hit. If the meals improved, the place would easily attract more guests. We went for restaurant week to celebrate a friend's birthday. Luzuko was a great waiter, but the food was a let down. The only thing I truly enjoyed was the amuse bouche. The ox tongue starter was OK, they served the fatty part of the tongue, not a fan. The beef cheeks were succulent and SALTY! That main was saved by the carrot puree. My friends had the kingfish. It looked bland. The dessert was an absolute train wreck. The cheesecake was rubbery. I wasn't too impressed, but I guess for the amount we paid, it should've been expected

This swanky and inviting restaurant hiding in the Pepper club hotel, is a treat for sure. I went for the buffet breakfast, its all you can eat and drink for R340, and trust me you want to tip. The staff check on you often, and ensure you are relaxed and the chef's Egg Benedict is special. It is hard to tell what to have, the croissant bread pudding looked incredible. Their mocha, I don't know what they use but superb, real chocolate for sure.

While I know that we are spoilt for choice in Cape Town, COPA is definitely worth a visit. Tucked away in the Pepperclub Hotel, it's like a hidden gem. Chef Nigel is on point with his preparation and I highly recommend the grilled sole. Phenomenal.
