Visited May 2025 - If you're in Chiang Mai and looking to dive into northern Thai cuisine, Chum Northern Kitchen is the place to go! Even if you're not familiar with the dishes, you'll appreciate the incredibly tasty food with its punchy, spicy, and wonderfully deep and balanced flavors. The service is quick and very friendly, and the ability to order effortlessly via phone with English menus is a huge bonus. While the portions might be a tad small for the price compared to some other local eateries, the exceptional taste and quality of the food shine through. It was a very good overall experience and I'd highly recommend it!

What a fun evening we had. I describe CHUM as Thai Tapas. Really good northern food in small portions. Great for sharing. We ordered a table full of food. Everything was above average. Wonderful staff on hand. Comfortable dining areas. I HIGHLY recommend CHUM. its best to make reservations as this place is busy every night. The kitchen closes early so no late night dining. They also don't serve alcohol, which is why I down graded a little. We all would have liked to have a cold beer or wine with our spick food. That being said, we were still there for 2 hours. Our bill came to only 1400 baht for 4 hungry people. I would have gladly paid more if that was the case. Thank you CHUM!
