Despite the country's turbulent politics, the Comoros is one of the safest destination in Africa. Comorian food blends Africa, Arab and European style and uses a fair amount of spices. Coconut based dishes are quite common. Seafood is good and plentiful. Local currency is Comoros Franc (KMF). The month of December, January, February, March, April is hot and humid. June, July, Augusta cooler months.
