Despite the country's turbulent politics, the Comoros is one of the safest destination in Africa. Comoros is rarely visited by tourists and consider as one of the undiscovered, untouched and unique destination in the world. Comorian food blends Africa, Arab and European style and uses a fair amount of spices. Coconut based dishes are quite common. Seafood is good and plentiful. Local currency is Comoros Franc (KMF). The month of December, January, February, March, April is hot and humid. June, July, Augusta cooler months. You need to have a valid travel insurance, the cost of which is not included in the price of the tour. It is your responsibility to obtain one.
