Authentic Italian gem in the heart of Florence! We stopped in while exploring the city center and were blown away by the quality of the homemade pasta. The lasagna was rich and flavorful, with a perfectly balanced meat sauce, and the seafood pasta had just the right amount of spice — the olive oil sauce made it surprisingly light and refreshing. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and true Florentine charm. Highly recommend if you want genuine, well-crafted Italian food! 🇮🇹🍝 one of the best restaurant in florence. we like seafood - hence coming here is heaven. the italian seafood dishes are to die for. the mussel pasta and seafood soup is extremely tasty. the lasagna is the best i have ever had in my life, so creamy and melts in the mouth. do make reservation in advance. will be back next time we are in florence I discovered Il Ricettario a couple of years ago and I love it. They are a permanent fixture on my Firenze dining list. The food truly does not disappoint. They make traditional Tuscan food as well as modern interpretations of regional dishes (the theme is a recipe map from around Tuscany). I make sure to eat multiple meals here every time I visit. It’s great for a simple, delicious lunch or dinner. Casual but not touristy. Everything is good, but the seafood pasta is a standout. Order a plate from each section of the menu to share and you will make an excellent meal. Five stars all around. Don’t hesitate, just go.

Went there as a last minute choice for dinner as we were in a rush for the train. We were quickly provided with some bread along with olive oil and salt after food was ordered, the bread was a but burnt but I could see people enjoying it if they prefer crustier toasts, it also seemed like a regular busy night for the place so can't expect everything to be perfect. Ordered two glasses of white wine, which they brought out two options and provided a quick tasting and choosing, star for service (and illusion of choice I guess). Went with the stracci in tomato sauce and bigoli in garlic oil, stracci was fresh and perfectly seasoned, I would describe it as a home taste, nothing fancy, but satisfactory for a quick dinner; garlic bigoli went a but too heavy with the garlic, but still amazing food. Finished off with a tiramisu and a macchiato, generous portion of a tiramisu, doesn't taste too strong of coffee but perfect with a little espresso. Great atmosphere, however the shop was a bit packed with tables too close to each other with a slight awkward layout indoor. Overall an amazing experience, would recommend :)

This restaurant is amazing. I came here with my wife based on the recommendation from our local tour guide. We ordered Lasagna and Pasta with Garlic Oil/Red Peppers. The lasagna was legitimately the best lasagna that I have ever had in my life (sorry Nonna). The flavor was intense and amazing. I cant even describe how delicious it was. The homemade pasta was excellent and the dish was very flavorful and good. The outdoor patio is a small courtyard from the side of the restaurant, completely surrounded by buildings. It is such a private and quiet place to enjoy your meal, it was a great find in this busy city. I highly recommend coming here. This was the best food that we have eaten in Italy so far, and we have tried a lot of places. Small family owned business with authentic and delicious food, much lower prices than any bigger restaurant. You cant ask for anything more.
