Had lunch at Jali Restaurant and truly enjoyed the experience! The food is super yummy, with great flavors and generous portions. The ambience feels homey and cozy—perfect for a relaxed meal. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more pleasant. Plus, the prices are very reasonable for the quality. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

Rich, bold, and everything you’d want in a comforting Indonesian dish. The beef rendang here is slow-cooked to perfection—so tender it practically falls apart with each bite. The sauce is a beautiful blend of coconut, herbs, and spices that builds up with a gentle kick of heat—just enough to warm the soul without overwhelming the palate. Served with a side of vibrant sautéed kangkung and fluffy rice, this dish is a flavour-packed hug on a plate. Out of everything I tried at Jali Kitchen, it’s this bowl of Thai green curry that made me want to come back before I even left. Creamy, aromatic, and perfectly balanced—the coconut milk base is velvety and rich without feeling heavy, and the herbs and spices hit all the right notes. Each spoonful is layered with tender chunks of chicken, fresh vegetables, and just the right amount of heat. Topped with crispy shallots and served with steamed rice, it’s comfort food that doesn’t try too hard—it just is that good.

Jali Kitchen offers an unforgettable culinary experience that should frankly be illegal for being this good! This might be a super underrated spot, perhaps due to its slightly more inland location on Gili Trawangan, but it absolutely deserves far more visitors. The Trawangan Super cocktail is an absolute must-try; it's so dazzlingly good, you'll lose track of how many you've had. Don't miss their tempeh, creatively prepared in a variety of delicious ways. For a main course, the Nasi Goreng Ala Jali is truly amazing. To top it all off, the Coconut Lemon Cake is as spectacular as the cocktail, providing a perfect end to a fantastic meal.
