Getting Around

Getting around Gudauri is relatively straightforward. During the ski season, the resort itself is easily navigated via ski lifts and interconnected slopes. For exploring beyond the immediate ski area, marshrutkas (minibuses) are a common and budget-friendly option connecting Gudauri to Tbilisi and other towns. Taxis are also available, but agree on the fare beforehand. Renting a car offers the most flexibility for day trips to nearby attractions like Ananuri Fortress, but be mindful of winter road conditions if traveling outside of peak summer. Walking is feasible within the main resort village.
