Having Tex-Mex on a regular basis and having been to Mexico, I was pleasantly surprised that the Mexican food in Saigon isn’t too bad. The flavors are somewhat similar to authentic Mexican cuisine, and the presentation is nice, though it’s still missing some of the bold, punchy flavors you’d expect from traditional dishes. However, the meat wasn’t particularly tender—I actually needed a steak knife to cut it, which took away from the overall experience. The prices are on the higher end, and with additional charges like 2 different taxes and a service fees totaling around 23%, it becomes quite expensive by Saigon standards. Those hidden fees were the most disappointing part of the meal. Overall, the food is decent, but expect to spend more for the atmosphere and presentation rather than pure authenticity. Absolutely incredible. All around amazing, the food was OUTSTANDING! Rosie was an absolute delight of a wait person, very attentive and super lovely. Everyone at Sol was absolutely Phenomenal!!!! The squid dish was probably the best thing I've ver eaten and the jalapeno sauce was out of this world!! The cocktails were delicious, and all was served extremely fast with such a smile! The meal ended with a delightful surprise of an anniversary slice of their cheesecake which was so thoughtful and also delicious! An absolute must do when in Saigon.. Came to try the Michelin standard in HCMC last night and it did not disappoint. Went in with no expectations after being let down by many restaurants recently, but this one left a lasting impression. Portioning, seasoning and grilling were all on point. We were seated at the bar near the dessert prep station. Service was attentive and friendly, shoutout to Koi and the male waiter working alongside her. Loved the vibes from the kitchen crew, witnessed them sing a birthday song for a diner, really wholesome and lifted the atmosphere. No strong kitchen smell either, which was great. Ended with a thank you shot. It was a pleasant and memorable experience, very well deserved rating.

We booked to come here 2 years ago, but unfortunately they had a kitchen fire so we went to taco del sol which is also amazing. Back 2 years later and this place did not disappoint, I can see why they have Michelin rating. Everything was incredible, we ordered the tuna bombas twice because they were bomb lol. The staff were so welcoming, our waiter Bill was fantastic. I’m glad we have another few days in HCMC because we definitely will be back!! Could not recommend enough, a must try in HCMC!!!
