Highly do NOT recommend. The flavor of the soup is one-dimensional. The meat and noodles are bland, and it's honestly remarkable that the toppings take away from an already unimpressive bowl of ramen. Not to mention the entire store reeks of smoke and oil. Winter tourists beware, your coats, hair, and bags WILL be reminding you of your poor choice of dinner after the fact. Lastly, the wait and price point. I'm putting this at the end because I don't want it to seem like I'm merely put off by a long wait (1 hour!) or higher than average price (~1800 yen). Even if this ramen was 1000 yen and ready as soon as I showed up at the premises, I still wouldn't come again. I feel sorry for my fellow customers, the servers who have to wrangle foreigners such as myself who were drawn in by the good reviews, and myself. Save yourself some money, time, and precious stomach space. Go literally anywhere else. We landed in Sapporo late and went to ramen alley since not many options at that hour. This place was the only place that was still packed (with a line-up) at 11pm. The ramen at Teshikaga Ramen was easily the best ramen we had during our 3-week trip in Japan. It was served piping hot, there was so much depth to the broth, the noodles were a perfect slightly chewy texture. We really like the miso ramen here, especially the spicy miso; all the components are good. The ticket machine has an English menu, making it easy to navigate. Tables turn over quite quickly, so if you're alone or a couple, the wait shouldn't be long.

We stumbled at the ordering machine and the staff quickly stepped up helping. Not only he helped us to move forward but also changed the screen to English version. Super. Everything went smoothly afterwards. Service was quick and the soup base was delicious too. We chatted with the staff on what's in the two big pots of the soup. Pork bones, fish, vegetables... then it changed to "a secret" "original". Haha. Staff's English certainly is not fluent but good enough to communicate.

First time trying Ramen in Sapporo and this was easily the best I've ever had. The butter corn miso ramen was superb, with a rich but flavourful broth, butter, corn and pork chashu. Be sure to order an extra Onsen egg. You can make reservations here but I timed it well and had no wait.
