One of the best Indian vegetarian restaurants in Interlaken. Very good mix of North and South Indian dishes. Definitely recommended if you are looking for good vegetarian food. We tried idli, vada, dosa, uthappam, kulcha-chole combo, some chaats. Everything was tasty. Also don’t miss their masala chai! Fantastic food and place. Very nice staff. We had chatt and dosa, both were superb. We have had authentic chat outside of india in dubai and also this place. We ordered the thali which came with 5 delicious vegetable curries, yogurt, one gulab jamun, and a complimentary glass of lassi. The food was very tasty and we truly enjoyed the meal. The staff is very nice — especially a Punjabi boy from Chandigarh who was very friendly and welcoming. We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Chotiwala Restaurant in Interlaken! The food was authentic, flavorful, and full of variety. We tried the Indian thali, and it was truly delicious — every item had its own distinct taste, from the curries to the dals and rotis. You could tell everything was freshly prepared and made with care. After days of travel, finding such comforting desi food in Switzerland felt amazing. The portion sizes were generous, the service was friendly, and the overall experience was wholesome. It genuinely reminded us of home. If you’re craving real Indian flavors while in Interlaken, Chotiwala is a must-visit!

One of the best Indian vegetarian restaurants in Interlaken. Very good mix of North and South Indian dishes. Definitely recommended if you are looking for good vegetarian food. We tried idli, vada, dosa, uthappam, kulcha-chole combo, some chaats. Everything was tasty. Also don’t miss their masala chai!

Fantastic food and place. Very nice staff. We had chatt and dosa, both were superb. We have had authentic chat outside of india in dubai and also this place. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. The food tastes a little sweet but overall it was delicious. The restaurant also has a thali option for about 38 CHF that two people can share. A thali for a single person costs about 27-28. A la carte items are somewhere between 25-29. Good place for accommodating Jain dietary needs.

One of the best places for Indian vegetarian food in Switzerland (and definitely Interlaken). We had Kadhai Paneer, Garlic Naan, Aloo Tikki Chaat and the taste was on point for all three items. The chai was also good (compared to other places we tried) but I wish it was stronger.
