Boujee for nothing... So quite Tuesday night. Ordered a pint. It was warm. Gas gone. So had a wine. Ordered steak poive medium. Didn't realise it was meddalions. Wasn't so medium and pepper sauce was meager but good. Batata bravas, not bad just okay.. Deep fried cauliflower was okay but had a strange aftertaste. My son had the chicken burger. It was also underwhelming and fell apart. Probably a nice weekend dop spot with snacks but not the dining experience I expected for the price. Waitron was fair but not very engaged. Had to chase her to get the bill. Probably 2and a half stars in all. We had such a great time at La Parada with my sister. At first, we didn't have a waiter, but I guess it is because our waiter was serving a lot of tables, as it was really full. However, we spoke to Bonginkosi(the waiter) and he served us wholeheartedly, we had such a great experience because of him, he was so kind and patient, and understood us so well. The food was good for me personally, we had a pizza, the wagyu burger with the patatas and some sushi, it was amazing. THE DRINKS? 10/10! My sister didnt like the pina colada, because she felt like it was more on the coconut side, than the pineapple and she is used to sweet pina colada's, I really liked it. I had the love philosophy drink and oh my goodness, its my favourite, my sister liked it too. If you are into sweet drinks, please try it, you will thank me later. There was a dj, and I love that the music wasn't too loud that you can't have a chat, and also, love that he was not just playing amapiano, we had some house music, soul, rnb, then amapiano, it was a great mix, thank you so much. I will be coming back again! Went to try the food on a Wednesday for lunch, the restaurant was empty so I was quickly seated, which was nice. However, the food was not that good. I ordered off the Tapas menu. Prawns: the prawns were not fresh. They had a mushy texture. Could not really taste the butter, garlic or salt. Disappointed as this was a recommended item on the menu. Miso aubergine: they were ok, but I thought they would use cream cheese instead of goat cheese. I am not a fan of goat cheese, so I was taken aback when I tasted it. Bao with beef: Baos were nice and fluffy but the actual beef was not very good. I think the beef was either cooked frozen or the grill temperature was not high enough as it tasted like meat that started being pan fried, and ended up boiled as the juices came out. Maybe the food tastes better during the weekend. Note: orange juice was good.

I don't know where to start, first time at LA Parada rosebank on Sunday and I was blown away with food and their service. Friendly staff and a very welcoming atmosphere. I want to single out Gwen who was our waitress, very attentive and always smiling. Amazing service we got from her, definitely coming back again.

Staff is incredibly rude and lazy. There’s a waitress with a ponytail who we communicated with about not knowing about booking tables separately for strictly soul is there anywhere we could sit and at first she shrugged her shoulders before telling us to sit at the bar. She was very rude about it even like we were bothering her. When we asked for assistance with getting more chairs for out table they refused to help out we had to ask customers who weren’t using their chairs to please borrow us a chair and the men sitting next to us went and asked for another chair for us as well. Service was incredibly slow. Barmen were very kind, food and drinks were amazing. Overall I’m disappointed in the staff and their hospitality.
