My husband and I went to Mekong Fusion for dinner last night. We appreciated the ride up on the bike, it was peaceful and quiet. We both like the ambiance of the restaurant, it was welcoming and comfortable. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the food. The banh mi was just like a regular sandwich, it lacked Vietnamese flavors. The pho was alright. It would be better if it was served hot instead of warm. In my opinion, if you value the ambiance and atmosphere more than food quality, Mekong Fushion is a good choice. RESTAURANT REVIEW Mekong Fusion is very Jekyll and Hyde. The decor and ambience of the restaurant is fantastic. Really stylish and there are few restaurants like it in Samui. We really liked it. And the service was very good. RESTAURANT REVIEW Mekong Fusion is very Jekyll and Hyde. The decor and ambience of the restaurant is fantastic. Really stylish and there are few restaurants like it in Samui. We really liked it. We dined 3 times at Mekong Fusion during the week that we stayed at Baan Sukreep Resort (the restaurant is at the resort). The menu offers choices mostly between Thai and Vietnamese, but there are even a couple dishes from Myanmar. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. The desserts were tasty too! The staff is excellent, both friendly and professional, and made eating at Mekong Fusion a pleasure. Finally, the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. Customers can dine poolside and have the option of being seated at regular tables or eating “lounge style” in cushioned chairs with lower tables. All in all, a great experience!
