I visited Alma some months ago for a birthday with my companion. She is a pescatarian and they were able to accomodate her dietary restrictions. I went for the main tasting menu. The menu was solid, very complete, with the amuse bouche it might be a bit too much, maybe 1 or 2 less dishes it would be ideal (tho im a small person). Memorable dessert with sea notes. Also felt like drowning in the smoked flavoured butter of the bread course. The room feels maybe a bit too crowded, I would have enjoyed more room to breathe. Its well decorated, but it could also have a bit more work with shadows/lights contrast (its kind of a portuguese cultural problem). Price is high but in line with similar tasting menus in restaurants of this caliber. The service was impecable, very attentive staff and down to earth. Side note: the bathroom maintenance could use some improvement, i expect a 2 Michelin Star restaurant to have perfectly clean facilities with continuous air freshner and attention to detail even in the toilet. Alma is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience. From the moment you arrive, there’s a sense of calm elegance, like you’re being welcomed into someone’s beautifully curated home. The service is impeccable: warm, knowledgeable, and attentive without ever feeling rushed or overbearing. Every staff member we encountered added to the feeling that we were being looked after with genuine care. The food itself is extraordinary. Each course feels like a journey through Portuguese flavors reimagined—rooted in tradition but elevated with creativity and precision. The balance of textures, the play of acidity and richness, the presentation… everything is thoughtfully composed. You can feel the chef’s philosophy in every bite, telling a story of Portugal with a modern voice. The wine pairing was also outstanding, complementing the dishes while showcasing the country’s incredible vineyards. What makes Alma truly special is how personal it feels. This isn’t about showing off—it’s about hospitality, artistry, and connection. We left not only full, but deeply satisfied in a way that lingers long after the last bite. Alma is an essential stop in Lisbon for anyone who loves food as both craft and soul. My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Alma on a Saturday, September 20, 2025. The food was indescribably delicious with beautiful presentation – a true gourmand’s destination. The true standout was the service which was not only impeccable and anticipatory, it also felt humble and appreciative. Congratulations and thank you for a memorable dining experience!

Purely impeccable! The staff, the food, the ambiance cannot be beat. I highly recommend Alma to everyone desiring a fantastic culinary experience! And unlike at least one other Michelin star restaurant we’ve been to, Alma is willing to substitute some tasting menu items when informed of food allergies, which is so very much appreciated.

Simply amazing! One of the best meals I have had in my life. I had the ‘Costa a Costa’ tasting menu that focus on fish and seafood. Although the menu comprises 6 dishes, there’s like 5 or 6 dishes before the tasting starts. All the staff was great, very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is very nice. Relaxed, modern and not too pretentious. It was my wife’s birthday, we even got a small cake with candles! This is not a cheap restaurant, but you can’t buy the quality of the food served in this restaurant nor the two michelin stars it rightfully deserves. I wish I was rich, I would go there every week! You must go try it for yourself!
