We booked Black Pavilion about a month in advance for our group of 12, and they were able to accommodate us with no problem. I had read a lot of reviews raving about the views but saying the food was average—well, the views were absolutely as advertised (stunning!), but the food completely exceeded expectations. This ended up being one of the best meals we had during our entire trip to Portugal. Everything we ordered was delicious and well-executed. I highly recommend the tournedos (filet), duck, burrata, and especially the crème brûlée. My only gripe was the pricing—it was a little all over the place. $20 for a burrata salad vs. $23 for a beautifully cooked filet? Kind of odd. But in the end, it was 100% worth it for a special night out. Amazing views, great service, and genuinely delicious food. Would definitely go back. The atmosphere and interior are beautiful — very elegant inside, with an incredible terrace outside that offers stunning views, especially at sunset. However, the main dishes didn’t impress us at all: the meat was dry, and the pasta was overly oily. 5 stars for the beautiful location and garden seating with views. But unfortunately, the food was a big disappointment. Service was also extremely slow — we waited ages for our drinks, starter, and mains. I would consider coming back for a coffee to enjoy the view, but would absolutely avoid eating here again. Such a pity.

We enjoyed the view, food was also good, staff friendly, we appreciated that it is dog friendly that is important for us.

It was also jacaranda season, which made the usual wonderful view of Lisbon even better. A group of what appeared to be Americans were drunk and yelling very loudly, so I could not enjoy the sunset atmosphere. Good service in the restaurant Not a large number of dishes
