We had some time after visiting Machu Picchu and our train departure, so we ended up hanging out at this restaurant since we felt so comfortable. The service was awesome, always with a smile, even though we were there for over 2 hours. The menu had a great variety to choose from with appealing prices, and the food was delicious!!! And to top it off, we had great views! The waitress did a phenomenal job; the food was delicious. I had the alpaca well done plate. Even when feeling under the weather, the waiter recommended a house tea that helped. Excellent food and service with a third floor balcony view of the river and the town. The Sopa de Verduras, was delicious and perfect for a cold evening. The Rocoto Relleno was amazing with a crispy corn meal crust around tender chilis stuffed with well seasoned minced beef and vegetables. And the pepperoni pizza came smothered in cheese with a thin crispy crust. Thanks to Reina, our server who provided excellent service. My only complaint is that they preferred I pay with a credit card and then charged me in USD instead of Sols as I had asked. The low 3.29 exchange rate unnecessarily cost me a few extra dollars.

We had lunch two days in a row at this restaurant, both days the menu of the day. We chose chicken soup, grilled trout and pancakes with honey for desert. The service was super quick and friendly, the food was delicious, and the prices were good. The food presentation was very nice, and we enjoyed the good portion size. The view was lovely by the river.

My dining experience at Restaurante Kaypacha was nothing short of exceptional. Situated in the heart of Aguas Calientes, this quaint eatery offers a delightful fusion of flavors that tantalize the taste buds. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the fried fish dish. Perfectly seasoned and flawlessly cooked, each bite was a symphony of flavors that transported me to culinary bliss. The freshness of the fish was evident, and the crispy exterior provided a satisfying crunch that complemented the tender, flaky fish inside. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall charm of the dining experience. With its warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with attentive service from the staff, I felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout my meal. In addition to the outstanding food and service, the location of Restaurante Kaypacha is ideal for tourists exploring Aguas Calientes. After a day of adventure, indulging in a meal here is the perfect way to unwind and savor the local cuisine. Overall, I cannot recommend Restaurante Kaypacha highly enough. Whether you're a local or a visitor passing through Aguas Calientes, be sure to make a stop here and treat yourself to an unforgettable dining experience.
