is a very good seafood restaurant in Mauritius — one of the few places on the island where the food truly stands out for its flavor. I highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for something genuinely tasty. While many restaurants in Mauritius serve food that’s clean and decent but often quite average in taste, La Kaza is a refreshing exception. The dishes here are full of flavor, well-prepared, and made with fresh ingredients. It’s definitely worth a visit for anyone who appreciates good seafood and authentic taste. Great restaurant and great food, we really enjoyed the dishes. Congratulations to the chef to prepare such tasty and well presented dishes. Service was good as well and very attentive. So were the cocktails. Only downside is the restaurant close to the Main Street and very noisy, toilets need an urgent upgrade. Overall, it was good. Price to portion is debatable per dish, but I found it small for the seafood unless you are willing to spend over Rs 1,000. Service was good as well and the waiters were very responsive. The only downside was the toilet upstairs. I can see a review from a month ago about the same issue so someone has refused to take immediate action. There is no water in the men's toilet, so it's inconvenient for the price of the restaurant. Food was really good tasting. My highlights were the lamb and deep fried prawns.

We really enjoyed La Kaza — so much that we went there twice during our stay in Grand Baie. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. Our highlights were especially the crispy calamari and the Mauritian-style octopus.

I had a great experience at this restaurant, especially when it came to the seafood—everything was fresh and flavorful. The grilled marlin was perfectly done, and the virgin piña colada was the highlight of my day. The service was mostly great, and the atmosphere was calm and not too hot, with a beautiful view of the beach. The place is also very aesthetic, ideal for taking nice photos. One charming touch was the koi fish basin and the little waterfall—such a peaceful and eye-catching feature that added to the relaxing vibe. However, there were a couple of downsides. Parking space is quite limited, and the toilet is located upstairs at the very back with steep, narrow stairs—not very convenient and a bit risky. Also, there was no water in the bathroom to wash hands. One waitress was unfortunately a bit moody—she didn’t speak to us, didn’t ask before taking or placing things on the table, which felt unprofessional. That said, the food was truly 10/10, and I’d still highly recommend this spot for the food, ambiance, and unique little touches.
