Rosa Negra in Polanco was incredible. Everything we had was full of flavor, from the grilled vegetables to the salmon — every dish was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The atmosphere matched the food, lively but still upscale and comfortable. We had a reservation, which I definitely recommend because it’s easy to see how this place fills up fast, especially on weekends. Overall, an amazing dining experience start to finish. This is a place of song and dance. Not food and service. We initially ordered a salad. It came out and we finished it before our waiter ever came back to take our order. We flagged down a manager or captain who took our order. We got the Hamachi, the Tuna Tartare, the Spicy Octopus and a New York. The Hamchi was ok. The Tuna Tartare was quite good. My drink was empty for the last 25 minutes of the meal. They never offered to fill it as only runners came to the table. Our waiter was no where to be found. My fiance liked the Spicy Octopus. We had to ask multiple times for limes for her. As for my New York... It first came out as a Filet. They acknowledged their mistake. About 10 minutes later I had a New York in front of me. I asked for it medium. They asked me to cut it to check. It was rare. Not even medium rare. They then tried to argue with me it was medium. It was closer to almost blue rare. They said they were going to cook it further at the table, whatever that meant. I was over the whole experience at this point. I asked for them to just take it off the bill and sent it back. This is an expensive restaurant. Sure, there was a guy with fire and some guy playing the bongos but that is not at all why we came. This was some of the worst service I have had. You can get better food and significantly better service for half the price all across Mexico City. Save your money. Thank you for an amazing experience. We loved the entire vibe, the food was excellent, music added a great ambiance and we enjoyed the energy of the sparklers, sax player and bongos! What a special experience. Thanks for the anniversary champagne - nice touch. We were there 4 hours and didn’t want the night to end.

Rosa Negra's calm ambient environment, and knowledgeable, well mannered staff have you met with respect. The professionalism in the chefs and presentation of the Kobe beef was nothing to forget, the flavor itself melts in your mouth. Some how the chefs magic still has you remembering the ceviche appetizer, the pan and how warm and unique tasting it was. I felt completely satisfied with every dish and hospitality at what felt and tasted like a high end experience. 10/10 recommend eating at the Rosa Negra with your loved ones to remember with.

Main course leaves a bit to be desired BUT the appetizers and drinks will have me going back on repeat. Music was a vibe and all the staff gets involved when it's time for a show. Definitely recommend this for a bit of fun and food. Nice bathrooms as well.
