TL; DR: lesson learned, always make a reservation early in CDMX. If you can be seated right away, there's probably a reason why. Restaurant did get packed eventually but maybe b/c of the good lunch rating. IDK. Went for dinner for a group of 4. The only good: cocktails were pretty decent, though our tequila margarita came out as a mezcalita. OK, mistakes happen. Waited 40 min for food to be served. Sure, kitchen is busy, so be it. Now the bad: The highlight of the night was ordering their specialty ("Charro del Pacifico"), a dish supposed to be accompanied with a Mezcal fire show, the type where they burn off the alcohol and cook it with the alcohol flames... well in reality, we watched the food become soup of Mezcal as the waiter dumped the alcohol into the plate soaking everything. If you like alcoholic soups that taste like Mezcal, this may be your place. Photo is us trying to salvage the food from the sea which was Mezcal (we failed by the way). Also ordered tacos, they were ok, though I'd had better tacos in SF. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant! Our server, Rodrigo, was super attentive and provided great recommendations. I loved the papas chipotle, flautas and tacos arrechera! We also really enjoyed the margarita de maracuyá. I would definitely come back! Great food, service and highly recommended. This was our second visit to Mexico City and we are always mesmerized with the food that we get here. The portions of food are good and we were a group of four and were able to try different food. The servers are very friendly and explains throughout the process and what you order.

Amazing restaurant! Service and food were top notch. We sat outside and the scenery was beautiful. I was blown away by the dish I had which was a big plate of steak, eggs, beans, tortillas. It was one of the best dishes I’ve had in Mexico. My server, Samuel, is amazing. Great service!

First night in Mexico, fantastic dinner, great atmosphere, great drinks, great food. Best guacamole I’ve ever had, the tuna mango ceviche was amazing and the pork flautas were really good. Javier was our server and he was fantastic.
