The El Cat, built right here in Moss Landing, is a fully electric, 32 passenger, Coast Guard-certified vessel. This is a custom 37’ catamaran built and designed especially for the waters of our very own Elkhorn Slough.

The Elkhorn Slough has the largest population of Sea Otters in California, and over 300 species of birds! We’ve been offering guided boat tours of this wetland for almost 30 years, and have an intimate knowledge of the area, its history, and it's wildlife. All our Naturalists have Marine Science degrees, and we are third party certified Wildlife Stewards, so you can be assured that we always conduct ourselves responsibly around the wildlife. Our stable, comfortable vessel is designed for unobstructed wildlife viewing, and we’ve been a preferred outfitter for many prominent wildlife photographers, like Frans Lanting and Suzi Eszterhas, to name a few. We will walk along the bluff pathway above Carmel Beach and take in the magnificent view of Carmel Bay from Pebble Beach to Carmel Point and Point Lobos.  This tour will begin and end at the historic La Playa Carmel Hotel located at Camino Real and Eighth Avenue. Other attractions include the North Dunes Habitat Restoration Project and the Carmel Beach Overlook. We will also see the home where Clint Eastwood lived while he served as Mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea between 1986 and 1988 and learn more about his connection to Carmel as well as learn about some of Carmel’s distinctive architecture and storied past. 

The best way to see the entire peninsula's coast is to begin at Monterey and travel through Pacific Grove and Pebble Beach. Our bike shop is situated on the Rec Trail in the historic Cannery Row of the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa. Along the way, you'll pass well-known public monuments including the Spanish Bay, Lovers Point, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and depending on your riding style and pauses, The Lone Cypress and the renowned Pebble Beach Golf Course. which all include complimentary entry. Four participants are required for a non-private tour to take place. We have the option to change your reservation to a regular self-guided rental, cancel the tour and give you a complete refund, or combine it with another at an other time or day. We will go over these alternatives with you and get your approval 24 hours prior to the reservation.
