Parikrama, the revolving restaurant in Connaught Place, opened in 1991, making it Delhi’s oldest and India’s tallest revolving restaurant. I visited it recently after many years. Located on the 24th floor, about 240 feet above the ground, Parikrama offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Delhi through its long glass windows. Unfortunately, the views were marred by the smog caused by Delhi’s poor air quality, and the windows weren’t very clean at that height, which further diminished the experience. The restaurant rotates slowly, completing one full circle in about 90 minutes, allowing guests to enjoy uninterrupted views of major Delhi landmarks from every seat. Placards above the windows indicate the direction and names of notable sights like Birla Mandir, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Connaught Place, India Gate, Bangla Sahib, Jama Masjid, and many more. These signs help diners identify each landmark as the restaurant revolves. One slightly inconvenient aspect is the lift positioned right next to the entrance and without a door, so conversations and sounds from that area can be heard while dining—especially if your seat is close to it. Although each seat is next to a window, the slow rotation means the window changes gradually; during my visit, only two or three windows shifted while I was seated. For food, I ordered Rogan Josh and a Kiwi Cooler, while we also had a veg burger and a Pineapple Sunrise. The Rogan Josh didn’t look or taste authentic, though the mutton pieces were tender and well-cooked. The mocktails were generous in quantity, and the Pineapple Sunrise tasted better than the kiwi one. Overall, I had a good time, but the ambience, service, and food could definitely be improved. I have visited this place various times over the years but somehow the food isn't very impressive now. Surely the atmosphere is intriguing and you must visit once in case you haven't. Starters are still impressive but indian main course has gone low. Staff is polite and professional but no place should specify that we haven't put up service charge so you must tip the staff seperately. It sounds cheap. And after serving such expensive and impressive main course you don't have the right to demand it also. All things are connected. Overall, if you haven't, do visit once for experience. The place is nice and the view is good if you don't consider the Delhi Smog. It's walking distance from Rajiv Chowk metro station. The staff was nice, good was alright, not the best. Good for meet-ups. Its on the 24th floor and the place is easy to find. The crowd is mostly families. Starters are okay, soup is good, meals are very good.

I went there for a nice dinner - the food and overall experience were okay. However, when I asked them to pack the remaining food (around 70% of my meal), I was really disappointed. They packed it in a cheap foil box worth maybe 2 and handed it over in a white polythene bag - it honestly felt like I was buying sabzi from a roadside thela. I paid ₹2000 for the dinner plus a tip (as the waiter mentioned that the service charge wasn't included), but the way they handled the food packing was just unacceptable. The entire box spilled inside their lift itself. For a place charging that much, I expected at least basic, decent packaging.

Visited on 05 Nov 25. It was definitely my family’s first and the last visit there (6 members paid an approximate total bill of ₹6.5K). The ambience is nowhere at par with the Fine-Dining Restaurants of Delhi. It was clearly visible that the restaurant wasn’t maintained properly. It had a very dull ambience. It’s only the hype about Revolving restaurant nothing else. The restaurant requires a fresh look definitely. Coming to the food, simply “ZERO” marks. Not even at a single point of time, I was able to enjoy the meal. Food was way below average. Usually, the Service staff is expected to be more welcoming and lively. However, the staff even tried to trick us TWICE with providing some other Paneer’s dish (which seemed barely Tadka masala and paneer added on top of it) instead of what we had asked for (Labaabdaar Paneer). We immediately returned the dish and didn’t pay for it. Not worth the Hype, Fine-Dining & Prices. Strongly Not Recommended.!!!
