If you want a great taste of Creole inspired dishes Katie‘s must be on your list when visiting New Orleans. The nicely converted home in a humble neighborhood, just walk through the doors and you’ll find a vibrant restaurant behind the purple walls. My table got eight different dishes and they were truly all delicious. The kids pizza and the kids spaghetti and meatball would’ve passed for a regular adult size meal at any other restaurant. The most impressive dish was the softshell crab that my grandmother got, which is the largest I’ve seen in my life. The owner was just the nicest guy and hangs out here regularly, and will not only say hi in passing, but if you’ll have him he’ll sit down and chat with you like you’re an old friend. Just hop on the Canal street car from downtown, hop off and walk one block. You won’t regret it. This place exceeded all expectations! The crawfish beignet alone is worth the visit. Our group also had the onion rings, fried shrimp, delta queen pasta & the shrimp poboy which were all excellent. The portions on all of these were huge & could definetly be shared. If you are going during the weekend, I would suggest making reservations ahead of time as they do get pretty busy. We had a reservation on Saturday night & we’re seated right away. Our server was super friendly & attentive all evening. The manager (owner?) even stopped by during our meal to check in on things. We are already planning to come for brunch on our next trip to New Orleans. For a first time in New Orleans this was a gem! Love the cozy atmosphere. Our server(Natalie) gave us some of the best recommendations for the city. Absolutely priceless what she did for us. The food is off the charts delicious. Service can't be beat. If I could give them a 6th star I would. If you go you definitely won't be disappointed.

We stopped in for lunch before heading to the airport. The food was delicious and came out quickly. The service was wonderful. Our server was very kind and attentive. The menu offers great flexibility especially with the build your own options. Our cocktails were super refreshing! I will definitely make it a point to visit again whenever I’m back in town.
