The location, view, restaurant interior and service is a well deserved 5! However the pizza 🍕 that we tried on the pizza buffet was underwhelming to get a 2/5 The wood fried oven pizza was very dry in the base and the toppings did not level up the flavour. So nice place for drinks as the bar looks super, staff are really friendly and service minded 🙏😊

Great location with great sea view if you get the right sitting. Seems to be lot of sittings inside. Nicely decorated. Strange that not all the wines were on the drink menu. They didn’t have separate wine list. I picked a ripasso, but didn’t know that there were also light body types 😕. This ripasso was served so cold! why not with right temperature? Tapas dishes were tasty. Tasty cocktails as well. The price level was high, because of the location?

The Menu is not vegetarian style but tapas and meat dishes are there a lot, also very good pizzas. i took the Quattro formaggio and taste was vert good, i liked the bread very much! Nice and helpful service staff, very fast delivery of the foods. 1 point canceled only for variation of foods for vegetarian. For sure this restaurant is recommendable ones in Oslo!

At Castello Restaurant you will find excellent tapas — with a wide variety of dishes. I especially liked that you can order several different plates and taste a bit of everything. The atmosphere is very cozy, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. If you are looking for a restaurant in Oslo with delicious Spanish tapas and great service — Castello is the perfect choice! 🤍🤍🤍

A family lunch done right at Castello Castello at Sørenga delivered one of those rare meals where everything simply works. From the smooth online booking to the final sip of wine, our family lunch felt effortless and genuinely well cared for. We arrived just after one o’clock on a quiet Saturday, and the table was ready when we stepped in. The staff greeted us warmly, offered to take our coats, and guided us straight to a window seat overlooking Oslo’s inner harbour. The room was bright, calm, and spacious, with generous distance between tables and a pleasantly low noise level — ideal for conversation. Service struck the right balance between friendly and professional. Our waiter gave thoughtful recommendations, steering us toward some of the restaurant’s most popular tapas. Dishes arrived promptly, paced so we could enjoy them leisurely over two hours without feeling rushed. The food was uniformly strong. The crispy fried potatoes with spicy tomato sauce and aioli had great texture and heat, while the mixed salad — kale, mango, walnuts, chickpeas, chèvre, and fresh berries in a honey vinaigrette — offered freshness and colour. Blanched cauliflower topped with melted mozzarella was a comforting surprise, and the serrano ham and homemade focaccia with aioli reminded me why simple tapas can be so satisfying. The undisputed highlight, though, was the gambas al ajillo: plump prawns in sizzling garlic oil that we practically fought over. We shared a bottle of wine from Piemonte, recommended by the waiter, which matched the dishes perfectly. At NOK 480 per person, including drinks, the meal felt well worth it — quality ingredients, generous portions, and attentive service in an unbeatable setting. What could be improved: The menu could note which dishes are suitable for sharing or served individually, as portion sizes vary slightly. Otherwise, nothing significant stood out. Final verdict: A relaxed, scenic spot with confident cooking and service to match — I’ll gladly return.
