A very good restaurant for trying Norwegian cuisine. We came across with this place during our search to try the famous “whale meat” and was recommended this one. The first time I try and it is actually quite okay. They serve it with a very good sauce and potatoes and vegetables. I recommend to try it. My bf tried the stew with mixed meat (moose, elk etc), served with mashed potatoes and red jam. Homemade white vine was 138kr, among the most affordable ones I’ve seen in Oslo btw. The staff is lovely, atmosphere is cosy and food is delicious! And it is very central! We visited this restaurant after finding it here and highly rated. It far exceeded my expectations. Upon entering you’re met by lovely staff members who greet you and speak great English if you happen to have very poor Norwegian like me. The menu has a lot to offer, including Norwegian classics, with a wide selection of drinks and beers on tap. We had the reindeer, moose and whale stew and a lovely fish meal with a tasty pint (almost pint; 50cl). All the food was lovely. Throughout the meal we were checked on and well looked after. The service was great with a wonderful atmosphere. We would recommend this establishment to everyone, especially those who want an authentic Norwegian experience! Would visit again Delicious food and wonderful service on the pier! This restaurant in Oslo was an absolute treat from start to finish. The location is perfect—right on the pier and within easy walking distance of the city center—offering both great views and a relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. I ordered an assortment of reindeer, beef, moose, and whale meats, and when my plate arrived, they patiently explained which cut came from which animal—such a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more memorable. The prices are reasonable: not the cheapest in town, but fair for the quality and location. I was also impressed by their gluten-free options, including not one but two types of gluten-free beer. All in all, a wonderful dining experience that I would happily recommend to anyone visiting Oslo!

Very good food. Amazing soup and delicious stew. Tastes of Norway were delicious as well. Another strong side is nice atmosphere inside. You can see there different symbols of Norway. Really nice and supportive service is something which helps me to give strong 5 stars and recommend the restaurant.

Nice, albeit touristy, place along the central harbor with good portions. We visited at the end of August on a rainy day and didn't wait to be seated. You're not going to get an authentic Norwegian experience here, but the atmosphere is well done for a commercial space. We had the fish soup, mussels and reindeer + moose platter. Everything was good. The mussels could easily serve as a meal on their own: especially, with the included fries. If you have an active Oslo Pass, you can get 20% off your food. We didn't have an issue using ours. Check in the food section of the pass to make sure it's still included.
