This dining experience truly delivered the best of what local Norwegian cuisine has to offer. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere—a perfect blend of contemporary elegance and rustic, coastal charm—was simply captivating. The warm lighting, comfortable seating, and, particularly, the stunning waterfront view created an inviting and memorable ambiance that was relaxed yet sophisticated. What truly elevated the meal was the uncompromising quality and freshness of the food. Every dish was a testament to the purity of the local ingredients. The seafood, clearly sourced straight from the Norwegian waters, was vibrant and expertly prepared, showcasing its natural flavor rather than masking it. Whether it was the perfectly seared fish or the delicate shellfish, the freshness was palpable in every bite. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, complementing the high standards of the kitchen. This restaurant isn't just a meal; it's an immersive experience that celebrates the beauty of Norwegian scenery and the exceptional quality of its local harvest. It is a definite must-visit for anyone seeking a truly authentic, high-quality culinary experience in Oslo. I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the seaport restaurant in Oslo, Norway. This restaurant is located close to the Munch Museum, almost on the waterfront, with views stretching across the harbor toward the cruise ships and the sunset. It’s a lovely spot for dinner if you want to enjoy the evening light – the sunset was spectacular when we visited, and it really added to the charm of the experience. The food is simple and decent, though not remarkable, and the service is efficient without being particularly memorable. Prices are fair considering the prime location. I would recommend this place mainly for the atmosphere and the views – it’s worth it if you come with the right expectations. Although Finn Air cancelled my boarding without any reason (well the only reason was they overbooked the plane) and costed me 1500 more to buy another ticket back to Taiwan, I am still quite happy that I choose Seaport to have my last meal in Oslo. The mussels are really tasty, the bread and the wine are really good too. Love the kind staff and his passionate service vibe. While the last experience with Finn Air was very terrible (They did not reply my complaint and no compensation till now… well more than 40 days!) but I love Oslo and hope to come back there soon!

Absolutely amazing experience. I got here early… it was quiet and peaceful. The view is amazing, but the food is even better. I started with the calamari and had the fresh trout with potatoes for a main. Best I’ve found in Oslo! Thank you!
