The overall experience was fine, but the food was quite average compared to the price. The paneer dish had too much salt, which made it less enjoyable. Service and ambiance were decent, but the food could definitely be improved for the value charged. Excellent service by Maung Zinoo and one of the best aloo parothas and Punjabi lassi we have had… We ordered 2 lassis but were advised that 1 would be enough for 2, and he was correct. Asked for slightly salted lassi and he brought us a small sample each to taste and see if it was salty enough…. Did not expect that!!! We came early at 11am and were served really quickly as there were only 2 other customers . Enjoyed the Punjabi music too… Will definitely revisit 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Average food, great service, and a nice atmosphere. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, and the quality of the chicken was below par, and it ruined the dish. Service was great by the wonderful crew, but unless the food stands tall, I wish the other things could make up for it when it comes to a restaurant. But can it? Also there is a total of 17%( Tax+ charges) over the Menu prices in the total bill.

We stopped in for a drink and a quick snack. We were seated near the entrance and while the servers were friendly, it felt like they were hovering a bit too much at times. The atmosphere was quite loud, likely because the kitchen was nearby. We ordered the samosas, chicken pakora and beers. The service overall was good, but the wait for our food was quite long. When the samosas finally arrived, they were lukewarm at best, though the pakoras were fresh and hot.

I was on vacation in Phuket and food was my main concern, especially with a little one. I came across Amritsr Old Town Restaurant on Grab and decided to try it. The food was delivered quickly and it was absolutely delicious – so good that the very next day we went all the way to their restaurant in person, even though it was quite far from our resort, just for the food! What impressed me the most is their kindness and care – they specially cooked food for my 14-month-old baby, which meant a lot to us as parents traveling with a little one. The staff was very welcoming, the taste was authentic, and the whole experience made us feel at home. Highly recommend Amritsr Old Town Restaurant if you are in Phuket and looking for tasty, authentic food with excellent hospitality.
