I had an incredible dining experience at Bacoa in Juncos! The red fish was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The rice and beans were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had, so authentic and delicious. To top it all off, the bread pudding dessert was the perfect finish—warm, rich, and unforgettable. The atmosphere and service were excellent too. I’ll definitely be back again soon!

We... may have planned an entire trip to Puerto Rico so we had an excuse to eat here. Farm to table. Made with care. Cocktails + Atmosphere + Deliciousness, and you can show up in shorts and a polo. We've eaten at fancy Napa restaurants. Spots in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, D.C., Blah-blah-blah - over-priced pretentious restaurants don't make the food taste any better. It just makes dinners feel more exclusive. And a lot of those places lack heart and soul. That is what makes Bacoa unique. This is something special and beautifully, classically Puerto Rico. Sure, it's got all the hipster boxes checked. But it stays approachable, seasonal, and the best quality without crushing your wallet. Get the bread with the pumkin dip. Get the weird, mouthwatering salad things. Get the specials - even if its a soup or stew of the day. That is what this place is all about - seasonal ingredients sourced locally and treated with love. We drove more than an hour from our rental in Luquillo - 100% worth it. Take the time it takes. Then when you get there, stay for a while. Sit on a bench near the pond. Have a cocktail (anything with Mezcal). Long story longer, this experience is something my wife and I will remember forever - not because it was exclusive or fancy - but because it was authentically beautiful. ​Bacoa Finca offers a truly beautiful and relaxing experience. The highlight is undoubtedly the stunning terrace view, with its serene landscape and tranquil lake. This atmosphere, surrounded by nature, is perfect for unwinding. ​The restaurant's farm-to-table concept is well-executed, with knowledgeable staff who can explain the menu in detail and highlight the fresh, local ingredients. This commitment to fresh food is evident in some of their dishes. ​While the location and concept are top-notch, the food itself was inconsistent during our visit. There were some definite highlights, like the delicious pumpkin mash, the oven-baked cheese, and the rice. However, other dishes fell short of our expectations. ​For example, the meat from the wood grill was unfortunately burned on one side—not just browned, but charred to a crisp. While we still ate it, the quality of the meat itself wasn't what we had hoped for. Similarly, the fish of the day was perfectly cooked but lacked the flavor we were expecting. ​Overall, Bacoa Finca is an incredible place with huge potential. The setting is spectacular, and the mission is admirable. With a bit more consistency in the kitchen, it could easily become a truly exceptional dining destination.

So it was a trek to get there but its worth it. Cool place to eat and be around. Farmhouse style. All local food prepared in a local style. Order a bunch of apps for the table and enjoy a good bottle of wine. Dinner was exceptional. Well prepared PR classics. Relaxing atmosphere with excellent service. Very accommodating and highly recommended.

Let me begin by saying that the place is beautiful. Everything from the landscaping to the design of the 'house". We certainly did take beautiful photos.The place is mainly "farm to table" which is nice. That being said, we were quite disappointed that they do not offer any traditional plates and everything is extra fancy. Case in point, we ordered bacalaito (shown skewered in the orange bowl), but it was served cut, skewered and with sauce) and not the traditional way. They have no "regular" plates such as white rice, beans, chicken, pork chops etc. which is quite difficult when one visits with older folk. The restaurant is frequented by many old people who find the restaurant quaint, but the food is made for an elevated palate. The menu was only available through QR Code, which again is fine for the younger crowd, but not so much for older people. It's like the restaurant tried to modernize traditional food which is a hit or miss, but definitely a miss for us. I would encourage people to view the menu BEFORE visiting. We would have done so, but we asked a friend to pick the restaurant and they did not tell us where we were going till we got there. In short, the restaurant is not for everybody, so if you have the option, check the menu first.
