Situated at the street corner you see the name of the restaurant only in small letters on the glass door. It has a nice atmosphere inside. The menu has Sicilian dishes and Italian wines listed. The food was delicious and the pasta al dente. The only thing I noticed was that the pasta Alla Norma sauce seemed a tomato sauce where eggplant and ricotta were added. In Italy this would have been a sauce simmering down with more vegetables and therefore would have turned into a new sauce providing a unique flavor. Overall a great experience so far from Europe. We had a pleasant lunch at La Caponata after a day of exploring Quito. Service was friendly and we opted to sit in the outdoor area which was lovely. Between four of us, we shared four pizzas which was more than enough food. Cold beer and overall wholesome lunch Delicious and authentic. We ate here twice because it was so good!

Very good food and all vegan. It was fresh and tasty. We had a Mediterranean platter first and then a pizza and the quinoa salad and all the dishes were great.

Great margarita pizza. The thin crust was phenomenal, the best I have ever eaten.
