A meal without fault entirely. The foods, service and drinks were 10/10 at Okareka restaurant inside Sudima Rotorua. The 2 wahine Māori wait staff couldnt have been more attentive. The restaurant itself is lovely and their mix of kiwi classics and waiata Māori hit the spot!! The extensive drinks menu was enjoyed by us and the cocktail list was impressive!! The food. Oh man!! TINO reka te kai. We explored much of the menu and nothing disappointed. Up there with one of the best meals ever. Gold star, no complaints! We had a wonderful late dinner at Okareka Restaurant, located within the Sudima Lake Rotorua hotel. Despite arriving close to closing time, the staff were incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcome. The food was exceptional. The twice-cooked pork belly had tender meat and flavor was very good. The manuka smoked braised beef cheek was equally impressive, falling apart effortlessly. A big thank you to the Okareka team for their excellent service and delicious food. We highly recommend this restaurant! Really nice food, and a great option if you've just visited the spa. Don't let the lack of reviews put you off, it was great

We had a wonderful late dinner at Okareka Restaurant, located within the Sudima Lake Rotorua hotel. Despite arriving close to closing time, the staff were incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcome. The food was exceptional. The twice-cooked pork belly had tender meat and flavor was very good. The manuka smoked braised beef cheek was equally impressive, falling apart effortlessly. A big thank you to the Okareka team for their excellent service and delicious food. We highly recommend this restaurant!

The steak was terrible, all charred and bitter. I only took two bites and it was awful. The risotto was okay, but not 5-star quality. The waiter serving drinks spilled some juice on the table and didn't even offer to wipe it up. They need to work on that. It's supposed to be a hotel restaurant, but the atmosphere and decor are more like a regular coffee shop.
