For the calibrar of the restaurant, which is supposed to boost a fine dining experience, I am deeply disappointed with both the food and the service, especially as it was a special occasion for Dia dos Namorados. At an average of R200+ per dish, I expected better execution for dishes with more fresh ingredients. I ended up sending back the seafood casserole with squid ink spaghetti as the spaghetti had a strong fishy smell. We were under the impression (language was not an issue) that the restaurant was agreeable to exchange it for a different dish, which I opted for the roasted cupim. However, when the bill was presented to us, the casserole made an ugly appearance. The staff insisted that it was a miscommunication and that the dish could not be returned once it had left the kitchen. I did not want to cause a big scene on such a special day, but man was I disappointed with their level of service at this level. The other dishes, the cupim, and the cashew crusted fish was also subpar for what I would expect from a fine dining experience. The atmosphere was great, but I will not be returning here again in the foreseeable future. A sophisticated and romantic ambiance, complemented by exceptional background music and stunning ocean vistas, defines the Amado dining experience. Impeccable service is provided by a friendly and attentive staff. The menu features a contemporary interpretation of traditional Brazilian-Bahian cuisine, specializing in seafood dishes of superior quality and preparation. While Amado commands a premium price point, the unparalleled views, refined atmosphere, exceptional cuisine, and overall dining experience render it an ideal choice for special occasions. This place is excellent for the vibe and atmosphere, a very romantic place with an ocean view and a great location for a date night or any formal occasion. The food is very delicious and wonderfully prepared. Their desserts are undeniably yummy - must try. The host was very accommodating because we had no reservations and they still managed to get us seated quickly and we had a wonderful table. The waiters are friendly and they also have English menus, which helps if you don't speak portuguese. One recommendation to the management: It would be nice if the waiters would check up and on more. It was hard at times to get someone's attention. It was a busy night, but at times we felt that nobody was around to help. Regardless, I highly recommend this place and this location, their food, and the experience should not be missed, while visiting Salvador.

The sunset at Amado is spectacular! That being said, there are other restaurants in Salvador with the same sunset view for less price. The flavor of the cuisine is excellent especially the moqueca, and the food presentation is flawless. The service staff is attentive, however not bilingual. You can watch the boats come in the bay...overall very relaxing.

Came for Valentine’s Day dinner, it was going good in the beginning and appetizers were served promptly. Then the second course came with one dish missing, there is only two of us. One dish was there and the other was not. We asked about the second dish because I obviously did not want to eat alone - and the waiter said 5 minutes. After another 30 minutes the food was still not served and I had been sat with my now cold food just to find out it had actually never been punched in! An hour passed before I was able to eat my food with my partner. Not a SINGLE thing was done to rectify this and we had to look awkward saying how terrible the service and experience was, we settled on taking the service off because I just wanted to get out of the place. Either the dish we waited an hour plus for should have been taken off or the two dishes that sat cold and untouched for an hour plus should have been taken off. Wish I could give a positive review about this place but the way this was handled, especially on Valentine’s Day, is abhorrent. Attached: The empty plate we stared at for over an hour.
