As I was strolling near SJSU, I started feeling a bit hungry and happened to come across Home Eat. After spotting some positive reviews online, I figured it was worth a try. I ordered the Shrimp and Ham Fried Rice—minus the ham—which turned out to be hearty, well-seasoned, and just what I expected. My only gripe was that it came with only three shrimp, which felt a little underwhelming given the name. Thankfully, the TIDU Shrimp Pot more than made up for it. The TIDU Shrimp Pot was easily the highlight of the meal—brimming with tender shrimp, fish balls, tofu, and a vibrant mix of vegetables, all bathed in a savory sauce with just the right amount of heat. Every bite had something new to enjoy, and it was clear the dish was made with care. Home Eat really nails Chinese comfort food. The ingredients are fresh, the portions generous, and the menu offers plenty of variety. Even with the minor shrimp-count hiccup, I’d gladly order from them again. I ordered the Mongolian Beef, Hot and Sour Soup, and Classic Fried Chicken, and everything hit the spot. The Mongolian Beef was tender, flavorful, and perfectly sauced — just the right balance of sweet and savory with crisp vegetables. The Hot and Sour Soup had a great tangy kick and was packed with flavor, not too spicy but still bold and warming. The Classic Fried Chicken was super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside — definitely cooked with care! Portions were generous, and everything tasted freshly made. You can really tell they put effort into both flavor and presentation. I’ll definitely be coming back (or ordering again) soon! I had a great dining experience at Home Eat! The food was delicious. I especially recommend the braised pork bones — tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned — and the cold dishes , which were fresh and full of authentic taste. Definitely a place worth visiting again!

I enjoyed the atmosphere. Me and my friends were concerned about the restaurant because we were unfamiliar with the San Jose area. Parking was convenient but the parking spot we pulled into was difficult to pull into. Keep that in mind. However, the food looks quite good. I haven’t eaten yet. But it looks very good, I recommend.
