I own three mediterranean restaurants in Los Angeles and visit Greece two to three times a year, always searching for truly great food. From Crete to the mainland, I’ve eaten at countless spots — and Agelos Steak House is easily in my top three restaurants in all of Greece. That is saying a lot. I honestly didn’t expect to find this level of quality and authenticity in Santorini, such a touristy island, but this place blew me away. The owner, a butcher by trade, personally selects and ages only the finest cuts, and every dish — from ribeye steak, lamb chops and ribs to pork belly, pork steak, and even the moussaka — was exceptional. What makes it even more special, for those who are health conscious, is that they cook exclusively with olive oil, even for the fries — no seed or vegetable oils at all, which is nearly impossible to find these days even in Greece. The flavors are clean, rich, and genuinely traditional. On top of that, the owner and his wife are incredibly kind and welcoming — they treat you like family, and the entire staff radiates warmth and hospitality. Great people, honest prices, and food that’s truly world-class. If you love real Greek cooking and perfectly prepared meats, take it from me you don’t want to miss Agelos Steak House. Angelo, the owner, is both a master butcher and a chef who clearly takes pride in his craft. He selects only the finest cuts and knows exactly how to bring out the best in each one. Even their Greek salad stands out — the tomatoes alone tell the story. You can immediately taste the difference between mass-produced and farm-grown; these are the real deal. Something you hardly find anymore in Greek restaurants. I honestly could eat here day after day. This place is a rare find, and I’m just glad I discovered it, I’m certain you will be as well. We ate at the Agelos Steak House last night, our first night in Santorini and it definitely won't be the last time eating there. The servers were brilliant, incredibly welcoming and even teaching us a few words of Greek. The food was excellent, the portions are large but it tasted so good we managed to finish it all. We ate at the Agelos Steak House last night, our first night in Santorini and it definitely won't be the last time eating there. The servers were brilliant, incredibly welcoming and even teaching us a few words of Greek. The food was excellent, the portions are large but it tasted so good we managed to finish it all. The kitchen is open and you get a great view of the food being prepared. We will definitely be back. A lovely, welcoming experience, I would definitely recommend.

A dinner worth repeating! Delicious food with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. The Santorini salad was outstanding — cherry tomatoes, cucumber, green pepper, capers, creamy cheese, and that traditional crunchy bread that ties everything together. The meat was juicy and perfectly cooked, served with homemade fries that were simply amazing. The service was 10/10 — super friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

Trust the reviews, we were looking for a nice, non pretentious meat restaurant and Agelos is exactly that. A nice, family restaurant that felt friendly and authentic. We had the steak, mutton chops and local salad and it was all cooked perfectly, lightly seasoned and delicious. Thank you to the staff.
