About This Tour
We bring you in the hearth of Siberut national park in Indonesia to meet the Mentawai tribe. Departure only on Tuesday and Saturday with Mentawai fast (fast boat). Mentawai people lives in the jungle in harmony with nature. They are animist and believe that each things has a soul. They loves tattoos and jewelry. Their tattoos are one of the oldest tattoos in the world. Let's try this adventure and come to discover this amazing people. Meet with the last shamans of Siberut, come and share a bit of their daily life in mutual respect and tolerance. With them, you will discover their unique and close to nature way of life, you will follow their daily activities such sago preparation (their main food), fishing in the river or preparing poison for their arrow. But before all, it will be a stay rich on "sharing experience" with the Mentawai family with who you are gonna spend few days. We support Kolibri association, by sharing with them 3% of the amount .This money goes directly to the association to help disadvantaged children in Sumatra.
