About This Tour
Make the most of your time in Nagoya on a 2-day excursion to Takayama and the Historic Village of Shirakawa-go, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses of Shirakawa-go, many of which are more than 250 years old; explore Takayama, known as ‘Little Kyoto’; and travel along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, home to the spectacular Snow Corridor. Meet in front of the McDonald's inside Esca Shopping Mall at the West Exit (Taikodori-guchi) of JR Nagoya Station. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled meeting time. The tour conductor will be holding a flag and a placard with the local tour operator's logo.

Wear warm winter clothes, walking shoes, and bring a backpack for necessary items. Travel may be halted due to weather. Refunds for non-travel zones -Snow Wall Walk: Available between 15 Apr-25 Jun. May be cancelled due to bad weather or other factors. -Due to congestion, Bus between Tateyama and Bijodaira may replace the Tateyama Cable Car. Boxed breakfast may be served if departure is early. -Accommodation is at Toyama Manten Hotel. Room allocation will be handled by us. Requests for specific rooms (twin/single) cannot be guaranteed -Kurobe Dam: Water discharge (Jun 26–Oct 15) may be halted due to weather -April 25 departure: Departure from Nagoya Station is 30 minutes earlier, at 8:00AM -Return may be delayed due to reservation/road conditions -Murodo: Stay may be shortened due to congestion. At 2,450 meters, temperatures are 12-13°C lower than sea level. Dress warmly with lightweight, comfortable clothing and shoes -Meal changes: No meal changes allowed unless for medical reasons.
