About This Tour
The tour begins with a transfer from Salerno to Paestum and a visit to the farm with a herd of buffaloes from Campania and the cheese factory to discover the secrets of Mozzarella, the world's best-loved Italian cheese. The visit to the cheese factory ends with a tasting of Mozzarella and dairy products. We will then move on to the archaeological area where a specialist guide will be waiting for us for the Tour of the Temples of Paestum, the city of Magna Graecia dating back to 500 BC. Surrounded by an almost completely preserved city wall and interspersed with 28 square and circular towers, which are in excellent condition, the Temples of Paestum are considered unique examples of Magna-Greek architecture. The three Doric order temples built in the two urban areas of Paestum are dedicated to Hera and Athena respectively.
