About This Tour
Eat, drink, and be merry on our premiere 3-hour walking, cultural food tour of beautiful Mainstrasse Village located 5 minutes south of downtown Cincinnati on the banks of the Ohio River in Covington, Kentucky. Linger in the German village, soaking up the charm of European architecture, a glockenspiel, cobblestone streets and fountains. Indulge in local treats, such as Bavarian pretzels, beer cheese, chicken and waffles, pizza, a tasting of local craft beer and much more! We promise you won't leave hungry! It’s the perfect combination of dining in a charming and memorable setting with your own professional guide.Food servings are ample and equivalent to more than a meal. This is an easy walking tour. The Meeting Point is in front of our first tasting location - Cedar - located at 701 Main Street, Covington, KY 41011. Street parking is free on Saturdays.
Special Instructions
We gather 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour at Cedar Restaurant, 701 Main St, Covington, KY 41011. Street parking is free on Saturday. Or there is a pay parking lot behind Cedar Restaurant. The parking lot address is 417 W. 7th Street, Covington KY 41011. Guests who have an aversion to pork or are vegetarians, must call Riverside Food Tours 48 hours prior to the tour to request a meatless option. We cannot accommodate those guests with food/nut allergies, diabetes, celiac disease, lo sodium, lo carb or who require special dietary dishes. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing (an umbrella if needed). Bring a water bottle for hydration in warm weather. We walk a distance of 1.25 miles over the course of 3 hours. Guest must be physically fit enough to walk a few blocks at a time.
