About This Tour
This tour offers visitors a unique, personalized experience exploring historic Lincoln Street in Sitka. Tour is led by a knowledgeable long-time Alaskan, who enjoys sharing Sitka's history and culture. The tour is limited to groups of six or less to ensure a quality experience. Tour guests learn of the Russian occupation and indigenous peoples of the area. Guest will also meet several local merchants who create locally made products, such as a flake salt, salve and soap made from a local plant; all used by the guide. At tours end, guest receive description of attractions, map of downtown Sitka, pass to Sitka History Museum, and discount card for use with selected merchants.
