A customized private tour by car from Luxembourg City towards the Moselle Valley and back. We will drive through the villages and see historical sites, parks, wine cellars and other local attractions. There will be the possibility to take short walks to enjoy beautiful views and to relax in one of the local cafes. The tour is specially designed for individuals or families who are interested in history and traditions of Luxembourg. The usual route is about 80 kilometers. The itinerary will be aligned with your personal preferences.

As a Luxembourg "local" (34 years old and teacher) I will show you (and your friends and/or family) the diversity of the wonderful city of Luxembourg within 2-3 hours: we explore the capital of the Grand Duchy together on our bikes and ride exciting routes and paths, away from the tourist routes, which by far not everyone knows and thus reach wonderful vantage points. Within a few kilometers we meander through the city along countless & sometimes spectacular sights. As your private tour guide, I always try to respond to the wishes and ideas of the participants as best I can. The routes are very varied, nevertheless largely car-free and there is only a little uphill (unless requested otherwise ;)). On this tour you will explore the history of one of the last decisive battles of World War II, the Battle of the Bulge. The day will start with a visit of the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial, the burial place of the US soldiers who died in the battle. General Patton was also buried there at his request. The tour then takes you to the General Patton Memorial Museum in Ettelbruck, the city Patton and his Third Army liberated on Christmas Day in 1944. The museum is a trove of historical exhibits and objects related to the battle and to Patton’s life. Further north you will then visit the « Schumanseck Remembrance Trail ». This trail leads in the footsteps of a decisive encounter during the Battle of the Bulge. Then the tour will continue to the site of the old Diekirch brewery where the National Museum of Military History is located at. This museum is considered one of the best for World War II knowledge. At the end of the day, you will be returned to your hotel.
