Nohoch Che’en caves located at Caves Branch is definitely one of the ten top things to do in Belize. The Actun Tunichil Mucnal Cave has been classified as one of the top ten sacred caves in the world. Getting there is an experience of its own. It entails a 35-minute hike under the canopy of the trees crossing the same river three times. The first crossing is approximately 5ft deep and the other two are under a foot deep. Upon arrival at the Entrance of the cave, equipment is checked and lights are turned on. It's 500 mts treading through water and going stalagtights, under stalagmites and through some cool formations. The second part is going up some rocks to get up a ledge on a second level. The Sacred Chamber is where all the ceramic and human remains are found. Your guide shares information about the different ceremonial spaces within the cave until you get to the main highlight which is the Cristal Maiden. A full-body skeleton completely calcified to the ground, evidence of human sacrifices that were practised inside the cave.

Barton Creek Cave is a stream cave located near San Ignacio in the Cayo District. It was used by ancient Mayan people for ceremonial purposes and it was discovered in 1970 and studied by archeologists in 1998. As you enter Barton creek, you will enjoy the scenery of the Mennonite Community and their traditional lifestyle. During the tour you will see sparkling crystal formation and learn about the Mayan history, archaeology and geology. The tour consists of exploring 1 mile of the massive 4.5 long cave which is yet to be discovered. San Ignacio Butterfly Farm @ Midas Belize is on a 30 acre private reserve in San Ignacio Town with the Macal River. The wildlife entails of a Butterfly Farm and Trails where you will see Agouti's, Iguanas, Otters, Gibnats, wildcats, Grey Fox and over 60 species of Birds Toucans, Quetzal, Hummingbird MINIMUM 2 person required

You and Only your group take a horseback ride to the amazing Mayan ruins of about 1.5 ride each way on a private tour for your party only; flexible schedule: 8am pickup or 9am pickup, you choose the length of time you take at Xunantunich. You also have the freedom to ride both ways or only one way followed by lunch at a local restaurant at the end of tour, pickup & drop off to your hotel in San Ignacio town.

An adventurous full day starts with a 15 minute drive from your hotel in San Ignacio to Xunantunich. After exploring & climbing El Castillo and rest of the Maya site you will then be driving (approx 1.5hrs) to 'Jaguar Paw' where you will enjoy lunch before getting your cave tubing gear before hiking (approx 20 - 30 mins depending on your pace) to the starting point of the cave tubing tour. Go cave tubing, through the crystalline water of this underground system and enjoy a relaxing tubing adventure. (This tour may be affected by seasonal rains - flash floods, so your tour may be susceptible to changes only during extremely wet days) (lunch is sometimes home made packed lunch (especially for special dietary needs) OR lunch at a local restaurant at 'Jaguar Paw') Private tours can be arranged. This tour consists of guided visits to a Cave and a Maya Temple. All in one full day of adventure. We visit Actunich Tunich Muknal Cave followed by the Maya Temple of Xunantunich. This combo tour begins at 8:00am and concludes around 5:00pm.
